About Our Church

Welcome to Eldho Mar Baselious Jacobite Syrian Church in Palmerston North — a vibrant community of faithful believers rooted in the ancient traditions of the Syrian Orthodox Church, tracing our spiritual heritage back to the Apostolic era.

Founded in 2015, our parish serves as the spiritual home for the Malankara Jacobite Syrian Christian community in Palmerston North and surrounding areas. We celebrate the Holy Qurbana (Divine Liturgy) in the rich liturgical tradition preserved for over two thousand years.

Under the spiritual guidance of His Holiness the Patriarch and our beloved hierarchs, we strive to live out the teachings of Christ — serving our community with love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to our Orthodox faith.
